Are you looking for an ergonomic or orthopedic guitar strap?

Many factors play a role in choosing a guitar strap. Some focus primarily on sustainability and the environment, while others prioritize aesthetics. But for every guitarist, comfort is ultimately essential for playing enjoyment.
For some guitarists, a standard guitar strap simply isn't enough. Consider, for example, shoulder problems or the tendency to overexert themselves while playing. I recently received a request from a guitarist with a chronic shoulder injury who usually couldn't play for more than 30 minutes without pain.

Analysis of Playing Style and Body Proportions

Together, we thoroughly examined his playing style, guitar, and body proportions. The goal was to design an orthopedic guitar strap that would distribute the load much more effectively and reduce shoulder pain. Without a degree in this field, listening to the needs and problems, combined with extensive experience, is something that conventional suppliers can't offer.
We decided to distribute the weight of the guitar evenly across both shoulders. Because the front of the guitar body falls precisely in the middle of his body, a Y-shaped junction was added to the front. This ensures that the weight is evenly distributed across both shoulders.

Sustainable materials with a rugged look

Cork was chosen for the construction, which provides strength and support. For the rugged and unique look, we used Piñatex, a sustainable alternative to leather. An additional layer of cork was added to the suspension points for added strength and reliability.

Result: more playing enjoyment and fewer complaints

The result is a custom-made ergonomic guitar strap that perfectly suits the guitarist's playing style and optimally distributes the load on the guitar. Thanks to this solution, he can now play much longer without discomfort and with much more enjoyment.
Want to know what he thinks of this strap? This is his review:

“Rock 'n' Soul makes handmade guitar straps from cork and/or pinatex (a type of felt made from pineapple leaves). You can optionally have these straps decorated with studs or conchos. However, I approached Rick with a different request...
Because I have a chronic shoulder injury, I can no longer play guitar properly with a regular guitar strap. The weight of my guitar (despite being semi-hollow) puts too much pressure on my left shoulder. The solution seemed easy: find a guitar strap that distributes the weight across both shoulders. Easier said than done. There are models that do this, but none worked well. So, Rick and I sat down at the drawing board, looked at my playing posture and my guitar, and came up with a new guitar strap model, an ergonomic strap worn across two shoulders that come together to form a strap. It's a world of difference. Where I used to have to put my guitar down after half an hour to sing a song by myself, I can now easily play a set of an hour and a half. And how nice!” This is also how highly I recommend it to everyone (even if you don't have shoulder problems). Appearance matters, too, and the combination of two layers of cork and a layer of pinatex creates a sturdy guitar strap that looks like vintage leather but is environmentally friendly. Of course, Rick can also make this model for you in any of the colors/patterns these materials are available in, or with decorative elements, but for me, simple black is the most suitable.
Rock 'n' Soul lives up to its name with love and passion for their product and excellent service!"
